Lifetime Warranty

At Gallagher Jewellers, we stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship and materials. Every engagement ring and ceremonial piece is made to last — which is why we offer a limited Lifetime Warranty for peace of mind.

Our warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing faults in your ring, such as loose settings or structural issues
  • Any rare changes to the optical properties of your certified lab-grown diamond (GIA or IGI) or moissanite stone (as covered by their manufacturer’s warranty)

If you believe your piece qualifies, we’ll assess it for you. Please note: damage from impact, misuse, or improper care (such as bent claws, chipped stones, or signs of corrosion) is not covered and may incur a repair fee.

Jewellery should be worn and loved — but even the most durable gemstones aren’t indestructible. Regular care and sensible wear will help keep your ring in top condition.

Not Covered:

  • General wear and tear (such as small scratches or dulling)
  • Damage from improper use or storage
  • Missing stones due to ignored maintenance or accidental damage
  • Lost or stolen items
  • Repairs, resizing, or alterations done by jewellers outside of Gallagher Jewellers (unless previously approved)
  • Warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable
  • Proof of purchase is required

Shipping

We offer complimentary express shipping on all Australian and international orders.

Domestic: 1–3 business days
International: 5–7 business days, depending on destination and customs processing

Tracking details will be provided once your order has been dispatched.

International Taxes & Duties:
Import taxes, duties, customs charges, and local fees are not included in the product price and are the customer’s responsibility.

If an international parcel is refused, returned to sender, or delayed due to unpaid customs charges, incorrect delivery information, or local import requirements, any additional shipping, return, customs, or recovery costs may be deducted from the refund where applicable.

For overseas warranty or servicing returns, please clearly label the package as “Returned Goods – Warranty Service” to help avoid unnecessary import charges.

Gallagher Jewellers is not responsible for duties, taxes, customs fees, or delays caused by incorrect customs declarations.

Returns & Exchanges

Due to the custom nature of our jewellery, we do not offer refunds, credits, or exchanges for change of mind on:

  • Engagement rings
  • Ceremonial rings
  • Fine jewellery
  • Custom, bespoke, or made-to-order pieces
  • Resized, engraved, altered, or specially modified pieces
  • Loose stones

Ready-to-Wear Collection:
We accept returns on eligible Ready-to-Wear pieces within 30 days of delivery or collection, provided the item is unworn, unused, in original condition, and returned with all original packaging and documentation.

Items showing signs of wear, damage, alteration, resizing, engraving, or modification cannot be returned.

Return Method & Shipping:
Eligible returns may be made in store or by mail.

For change-of-mind returns, customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured service, as the item remains the customer’s responsibility until received and inspected by Gallagher Jewellers.

For international returns, customers are responsible for return shipping costs, duties, taxes, customs charges, and any associated import or export fees.

If your item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can arrange a suitable repair, replacement, or return.

Refunds:
Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you whether it has been approved.

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5 business days. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to make the funds available.

Gallagher Jewellers does not charge a restocking fee for approved returns.

Exchanges:
We do not offer exchanges.

If you wish to purchase a different piece, please return the eligible item in accordance with this policy and place a new order.

CAD Approval Policy:

For custom designs, we will provide a CAD within 1–2 weeks of purchase.

You will have 3 days to approve or request changes. If no feedback is received within that time, we will proceed with crafting based on the CAD provided.

Once approved, or once the 3-day approval period has passed without feedback, no changes can be made.

If you cancel your order before CAD is received, a $1,000 AUD cancellation fee applies. No cancellations are accepted once the CAD is approved.

Gallagher Jewellers reserves the right to deny refunds or or returns where:

  • Items show signs of wear, use, damage, or misuse
  • The piece is custom, bespoke, altered, or made-to-order
  • Incorrect sizing was supplied by the customer
  • The concern is non-quality-related
  • The item can be repaired
  • The item has been tampered with or damaged by the customer

Note: Gift cards and sale items are non-refundable.

Resizing

We offer one complimentary resizing (up or down 2 sizes max) within 6 months of receiving your ring.

After this period, resizing starts from $80 AUD.

Resizing Limits:

  • Pavé Bands: Up 4 sizes / Down 2.5 sizes
  • Shared Prong Bands (Marquise & Round): Up or down 2 sizes max
  • Men’s Zirconium Rings: Cannot be resized

Shipping fees apply for resizing services:

  • Domestic return shipping: $20 AUD
  • International return shipping: $50 AUD

If you’re local to Brisbane, you can book a ring drop-off appointment to avoid postage costs.

Complimentary Servicing

We offer complimentary lifetime servicing on engagement, ceremonial, and fine jewellery pieces, including:

  • Professional cleaning
  • Polishing
  • Prong tightening
  • Full inspection

To keep your Lifetime Warranty valid, your piece must be serviced by Gallagher Jewellers at least once every 12 months.

Proof of servicing is required to maintain warranty eligibility.

Customers are responsible for shipping both ways.

Engraving

Engraving is complimentary during the crafting phase of your ring.

After this period, engraving or re-engraving is available for $60 AUD.

Note: Zirconium rings cannot be engraved after CAD approval or post-crafting due to the properties of the metal.

Rhodium Plating

White gold rings are rhodium plated to enhance their brightness. Over time, this layer naturally wears off.

We offer professional rhodium replating for $100 AUD.

Frequency of replating varies based on skin chemistry, wear, and exposure to chemicals.

Photography & Media

By purchasing from Gallagher Jewellers, you agree that any photos, videos, or visual content we capture of your piece may be used across our digital platforms — including social media, advertising, and marketing — at our discretion.

All content, including custom designs and photography, remains the intellectual property of Gallagher Jewellers.
